According to information from the energy storage and power market sector, on October 8, a public notice was released regarding Shaanxi Province's 2026 distributed wind power and small ground-mounted photovoltaic station projects.
The announcement confirms that 22 projects with a combined capacity of 519.6MW will be included in Shaanxi Province's 2026 construction scale for distributed wind power and small ground-mounted photovoltaic stations.
In line with the requirements of the application notice, new energy projects are encouraged to configure new-type energy storage at no less than 10% of installed capacity with a duration of 2 hours. The corresponding estimated storage scale is approximately 51.96MW/103.92MWh.
Breaking this down, distributed wind power accounts for 4 projects with a total scale of 188MW, while small ground-mounted photovoltaic stations account for 18 projects totaling 331.6MW.
The public notice period runs from October 8, 2026 to October 13, 2026.
Previously, the Shaanxi Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on launching the application work for Shaanxi Province's 2026 distributed wind power and small ground-mounted photovoltaic station projects.
The document shows that the upper limit for application scale in each city and prefecture is 5.45GW. Among these, Yulin City's application scale does not exceed 800,000 kilowatts, Yan'an City does not exceed 750,000 kilowatts, each city in the Guanzhong region does not exceed 600,000 kilowatts, and each city in the southern Shaanxi region does not exceed 300,000 kilowatts.
Each distributed wind power and small ground-mounted photovoltaic station project has a single-unit scale not exceeding 50,000 kilowatts (exclusive). New energy projects are encouraged to configure new-type energy storage at no less than 10% of installed capacity with a duration of 2 hours. The estimated storage scale is approximately 545MW/1090MWh.
