Shares of TRANSTHERA-B (02617) surged more than 11% in Hong Kong trading on Thursday, with the stock last changing hands at HK$11.17, up 11.37%, on turnover of HK$103 million.
According to a company announcement released on the evening of September 18, the first patient has been dosed in the China Phase II clinical trial evaluating its core product Tinengotinib (Jientai®, TT-00420) in combination with novel hormonal therapy (NHT) for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) that has progressed after prior therapy.
In a separate development on September 17, TRANSTHERA-B announced that the first batch of its core product Jientai® (Tinengotinib tablets) has officially shipped through commercial channels to pharmacies across the country, marking the commencement of nationwide commercial supply. This milestone signifies that the globally first-in-class targeted therapy for cholangiocarcinoma addressing FGFR inhibitor resistance is now poised to reach patients throughout China.
