On March 17, during the 2026 DingTalk 2.0 annual product launch event, Chen Hang, founder and CEO of DingTalk, introduced an AI-native workplace platform named "Wukong."
Chen Hang explained that Wukong is accessible on both PC and mobile devices. Through the DingTalk mobile app, users can issue commands to Wukong at any time. Whether away from the office or even while asleep, a single instruction can set Wukong to work continuously on the user’s computer around the clock.
The announcement follows the establishment of the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group by Alibaba on the evening of March 16. This new unit is tasked with creating, distributing, and applying tokens as its core mission, and will be overseen directly by Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming. The move is seen as a major organizational realignment by Alibaba in preparation for the AI Agent era, with the Token Hub serving as a central element to strengthen strategic coordination in AI business and advance the company’s broader AI initiatives.
The Wukong business division made its public debut with a focus on delivering an AI-native platform for business clients, integrating model capabilities deeply into corporate workflows. This signals that alongside its consumer-facing AI app, Qianwen, Alibaba is also prioritizing expansion into the enterprise AI application market.
Notably, Chen Hang disclosed that Alibaba Group CEO Wu Yongming attended the launch event in person, marking his first public appearance in support of a product release since the formation of the Alibaba Token Hub business group.
