China's Jiangsu Province has released a three-year action plan for high-quality commercial aerospace development from 2026 to 2028, marking a strategic push into the sector.
The plan, aimed at driving provincial economic growth, targets key cities including Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Lianyungang, and Zhenjiang. These cities are encouraged to leverage their industrial strengths to establish differentiated commercial aerospace industry chains, focusing on pilot projects for future industry clustering and building nationally competitive aerospace clusters.
For Suzhou specifically, the initiative outlines a focus on advancing the integrated manufacturing of complete launch vehicles. This includes strengthening the production of key materials, core components, and foundational software. The plan also emphasizes the development of critical subsystems such as satellite thermal control, power systems, propulsion systems, and rocket fuel tanks. Additionally, it highlights the growth of advanced communication terminals, remote sensing optical payloads, and support for data services derived from these technologies.
