Midea Group Co., Ltd. disclosed a dual capital-management move on 4 August 2026, combining a targeted share repurchase with an option-related share issue.
On the same day, the company bought back 709,600 A-shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange at prices ranging from RMB 84.69 to RMB 85.59 per share. The repurchase, costing RMB 60.34 million in aggregate, represents 0.0104 % of the 6.81 billion issued shares (excluding treasury shares) outstanding before the transaction. All repurchased shares have been booked as treasury shares for potential future capital reduction.
Also on 4 August 2026, Midea Group issued 190,590 new A-shares upon the exercise of options granted under its Ninth Stock Option Incentive Plan, at an exercise price of RMB 41.44 per share. The newly issued shares account for 0.0028 % of the prior share base.
Following these transactions, issued shares (excluding treasury shares) fell to 6.81 billion, down by 519,010 shares. Treasury shares increased to 169.10 million, bringing total issued shares (including treasury shares) to 6.98 billion as at 4 August 2026.
