During trading on June 25th, China's baijiu (white spirit) sector experienced a sudden upward movement. Jiugui Liquor Co.,Ltd. (SHE: 000799) saw its shares surge directly to the daily 10% limit-up. Other companies in the sector followed suit with gains, including Shuijingfang (SHH: 600779), Huangtai Wine Industry (SHE: 000995), Shede Spirits (SHH: 600702), Yingjia Gongjiu (SHH: 603198), and Jinshiyuan (SHH: 603369).

The market movement was supported by data showing a slight rebound in the average terminal retail prices for major baijiu products. According to recent 24-hour data collection, the overall average price for key products saw a modest recovery on June 25th. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price would be 9,870 yuan today, an increase of 6 yuan from the previous day. This ended a three-day consecutive decline, although prices remain in a low range for the recent period, showing only a slight recovery from the lowest point in over two months recorded the day before.

Market Sentiment and Price Movements

Overall trading sentiment at the retail level remains cautious, with significant divergence in price movements among core products. Among eleven major baijiu products today, four increased, four decreased, and three remained flat. On the positive side, premium Moutai saw the largest gain, rising by 9 yuan per bottle, marking its largest single-day increase in nearly a month and rebounding quickly from its lowest point in about a month recorded yesterday. Qinghua Fen 20 rose by 6 yuan per bottle, climbing back above the 370 yuan threshold to match its highest price level since the beginning of June. Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation and Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 both saw minor increases of 1 yuan per bottle. The former rebounded slightly from its lowest level since February 2nd recorded yesterday but remains in a low price range, while the latter recovered modestly from its near one-month low recorded the previous day.
