China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (ASX: 600115) has released its operational data for May. The figures show a 5.34% year-on-year decrease in passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometers.
Passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometers, fell by 3.63% compared to the same period last year. The passenger load factor for the month was 86.93%, representing an increase of 1.54 percentage points year-on-year.
In contrast, cargo and mail traffic, measured in cargo and mail ton kilometers, saw a positive trend with a 7.38% year-on-year increase in May.
