On April 22, the inauguration ceremony for Luckin Coffee's new innovation and production center was held in Chengyang District, Qingdao. The project represents a total investment of approximately 3 billion yuan, with an annual roasting capacity exceeding 55,000 tons.
The facility features the largest single-unit roasting machine in operation, advanced packaging equipment with leading productivity, fully automated production processes, intelligent storage with constant temperature and humidity control, and an FRTO flameless regenerative thermal oxidation system. These technologies support the company's commitment to digital manufacturing and green, low-carbon development.
The center is designed to meet both China's Three-Star Green Building standards and the LEED Platinum certification requirements. In the future, a distributed photovoltaic power generation system will be installed to achieve green production targets. The project has been selected as a key initiative for Shandong Province's green and high-quality development plan in 2025.
With the launch of the Qingdao production center, Luckin Coffee will establish a coordinated roasting supply network across Qingdao, Pingnan, Kunshan, and Xiamen (under construction), with total production capacity expected to exceed 155,000 tons.
Guo Jinyi, Co-founder and CEO of Luckin Coffee, stated that Qingdao's advantages in port logistics, bonded processing, and multimodal transport strongly support the company's strategy of "port-front factory, bonded processing, and global distribution." He emphasized that the launch marks a significant step in deepening the company's full industrial chain layout. Moving forward, Luckin will further integrate into Qingdao's development strategy, focusing on technological innovation and green growth to drive transformation in China's coffee industry, deliver high-quality experiences to consumers, and contribute industrial vitality to Qingdao.
