Intel Says Meeting Strong Demand Will Take Time

Intel executives stated that the company is grappling with inventory shortages and that fulfilling the robust demand for its chips will require time. CEO Patrick Gelsinger expressed disappointment during an analyst call, noting, "In the short term, I am disappointed that we are unable to fully meet market demand." He emphasized that the company is on a multi-year journey that necessitates patience. CFO David Zinsner indicated that due to strong demand driven by the expanding artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, the company is facing supply constraints for its critical products. Zinsner added, "There is increasing pressure on the industry-wide supply of key components such as DRAM, NAND, and substrates."
