Recently, the "Zhiguan" blueberry brand, owned by Dandong Pengxin Agriculture Co., Ltd. located in Tangshancheng Town, Zhen'an District, Dandong City, successfully passed the Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification, obtaining its "admission ticket" to the international market and marking a breakthrough for Dandong's specialty agricultural products in the field of standardized cultivation.
The Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification is renowned as a "green passport" for agricultural products seeking entry into international markets; its comprehensive assessment system covers the entire supply chain, including the growing environment, variety selection, farming operations, and quality testing, enforcing stringent standards on critical indicators such as pesticide residues and heavy metal content.
Achieving international certification hinges on quality. Pengxin Agriculture meticulously selected over 20 premium varieties, including 'Duke' and 'Bluecrop', and established a "one plant, one code" full-process traceability system, making every step from seedling planting to harvest and market distribution verifiable and traceable. Testing revealed that their blueberries contain 15% higher anthocyanin levels compared to ordinary varieties, with a 100% compliance rate for Vitamin C content.
Currently, the blueberry cultivation area in Tangshancheng Town has reached 6,042 acres, with 456 structures such as greenhouses and cold sheds established. The GAP-certified "Zhiguan" blueberries have already received their first export inquiries, effectively opening the door to the international market.
