Best Pacific’s 2025 ESG Report Highlights 38.50% Drop in Water Intensity and 21,000 MWh Solar Generation

Best Pacific International Holdings released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, outlining measurable progress on climate action, resource efficiency and community engagement across operations in Chinese Mainland, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and the United States.

Key environmental metrics • Greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1 & 2, location-based) fell 14.64 per cent from the 2023 baseline, while total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions stood at 287,088 tCO₂e. • Energy transition accelerated: rooftop photovoltaic capacity doubled to 22.80 MW, generating 21,000 MWh—9 per cent of purchased electricity. • Sri Lanka facilities completed full coal phase-out; biomass boilers there and at other sites are expected to trim Scope 1 emissions by about 15,000 tCO₂e annually. • Water-use intensity dropped 38.50 per cent from the 2018 base year, supported by a 60 per cent wastewater reuse rate at the Dongguan plant’s 20,000-tonne-per-day treatment system. • Non-hazardous waste recycling reached 71.64 per cent; five factories achieved zero-landfill status.

Strategic targets • By 2030 the Group aims to cut GHG and water intensities 30 per cent and lower solid-waste intensity 15 per cent versus their respective baselines. • Net-zero (Scope 1 & 2) is targeted for 2050; progress will be reviewed annually by the Board-led Sustainability Working Group.

Supply-chain and product stewardship • Laboratory certified by 29 brands, holding 35 valid certificates and capable of 159 tests; Dongguan plant achieved a 92 per cent verified Higg FEM score. • GRS-certified eco-friendly yarns represented 21 per cent of total yarn use, and GRS-certified polyester yarns 64 per cent of total polyester consumption. • A master craftsmen studio and corporate vocational programmes have certified 1,229 staff, including 469 senior technicians, supporting intelligent manufacturing initiatives.

Social investment • Community donations exceeded HK$1.40 million; 240 employees participated in blood-donation drives. • The “Love Fund” disbursed over HK$0.33 million to 21 employees in need. • The “Migratory Bird” programme, backed by brand partners, benefited 144 left-behind children; tree-planting projects have added more than 5,000 trees since 2021, including 1,000 in 2025.

Governance and finance • Sustainability-linked loans obtained since 2024 tie borrowing costs to ESG KPIs. • No corruption cases, product recalls, or major safety incidents were recorded during the year.

Best Pacific states that digitalised energy management, green raw-material sourcing and circular-economy initiatives will underpin the next phase of its 2030 roadmap, while the Board continues to align executive incentives with climate performance.
