Deep News04-02

The Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission has released a draft of the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Modern Infrastructure in Guangzhou" for public consultation. The proposal emphasizes enhancing modern port-side manufacturing clusters, with a focus on fostering intelligent manufacturing industries in the Nansha Port Area and Wanqingsha Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It aims to advance the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation of three key sectors: automobiles, high-end equipment, and new energy and new materials. Additionally, the plan targets six strategic emerging industries—artificial intelligence and robotics, semiconductors and integrated circuits, laser and new material manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, biopharmaceuticals and health, and port-side food processing—to develop extended upstream and downstream industrial chains. The city will also promote emerging maritime industries, aerospace and satellite technology, and next-generation information technology to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces.
