According to the latest memory industry research from TrendForce, major manufacturers continue their strategy of gradually phasing out the production of mature products below DDR4 specifications. With the supply structure in the market persistently tightening, overall prices have accumulated a remarkable increase over the past few months. TrendForce anticipates that consumer DRAM contract prices will continue to rise by 45-50% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of 2026. This projection takes into account factors including the ongoing reduction in supply, the shifting of orders, and the insufficient capacity expansion among suppliers using mature process technologies.
