Mother and Baby Consumption Boom: Kidswant's Smart Logistics Park Operates at Full Capacity

Deep News01-02

During the New Year's Day holiday, Kidswant Children Products Co.,Ltd.'s North China Smart Logistics Base ensured the supply of maternal and infant products to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by increasing manpower and enhancing storage capacity. Officially put into operation last September, this logistics base primarily serves the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and the broader North China region.

The first New Year's Day holiday period saw a substantial increase in sales of mother and baby products, predominantly limited-edition clothing and toys for the Year of the Horse, along with powdered milk gift sets. Throughout the holiday, the base's automated sorting lines operated around the clock, processing nearly 60,000 orders daily.

The company initiated its holiday plan ahead of schedule, coordinating with suppliers to increase inventory stockpiles from three days to a full week. Simultaneously, it boosted the number of logistics vehicles on standby, and the number of employees on duty was raised from the usual 40 to 60.

To manage the peak holiday consumption demand, the park expanded its high-level shelving from the typical two tiers to five tiers. Based on the operational experience from the New Year's Day holiday, the base plans to further upgrade its intelligent shelving system next week, aiming to increase overall storage capacity from 1.8 million items to over 2 million items, thereby also creating ample space for the upcoming Spring Festival and seasonal change consumption peaks.
