US stock futures edged higher as traders waited to see if US jobs data due later Friday would cement bets on Federal Reserve policy easing in the coming months.
These stocks made moves Friday:
Nvidia - Nvidia’s big 10-for-1 stock split takes effect Friday after the closing bell. Shareholders of record as of Thursday, June 6, will get nine additional shares of the stock after the close on Friday. The shares gained 0.7% in premarket trading Friday.
GameStop - GameStop shares jumped another 34.4% in premarket trading Friday. The shares soared over 47% Thursday after Keith Gill, also known as "Roaring Kitty," scheduled his first YouTube livestream in more than three years.
GameStop will head into the earnings confessional next week.
Other meme stocks such as AMC Entertainment shares jumped 13.5%, Faraday Future rose 26%, BlackBerry rose 5%.
TSMC - TSMC’s May sales rose 30% to NT$229.6 billion ($7.1 billion), helped by booming demand for artificial intelligence and a recovery in some consumer electronics. The shares rose 1% in premarket trading.
Docusign - Shares of DocuSign dropped 6.8% in premarket trading Friday after the company's second quarter billings guidance fell below Wall Street expectations. However, the company did beat earnings estimates and boosted its stock repurchase program by up to a billion of outstanding common stock.
Samsara, Inc. - Shares of the software provider dropped 6.1%, even as Samsara reported top- and bottom-line beats in the first quarter. The company posted adjusted earnings of 3 cents per share and revenue of $281 million, surpassing analysts’ expectations for earnings of 1 cent per share and $272 million in revenue, according to LSEG. Estimates for the current quarter and full year were above expectations as well.
Braze, Inc. - The customer engagement platform provider surged 14.3% on better-than-expected results for the first quarter. Braze reported an adjusted loss of 5 cents per share, while analysts expected a loss of 10 cents per share, according to LSEG. Revenue came in at $135 million, slightly topping expectations of $132 million.
Biomea Fusion, Inc. - Biomea Fusion shares fell 60% in premarket trading Friday as the company said the Food and Drug Administration placed a full clinical hold on Phase I/II clinical trials of diabetes drug BMF-219.
