The 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference will be held in Shanghai from October 20 to 22, under the theme "Building a Resilient Future Together: Global Governance, Innovation-Driven Development and Industrial Upgrading."
The conference will bring together more than 300 top participants from around the world, including representatives of relevant United Nations agencies, Nobel Prize and Turing Award laureates, senior executives of leading domestic and international enterprises, and experts from authoritative think tanks, to engage in high-level dialogue on the real challenges and opportunities of global sustainable development, forge cross-sector consensus, and deliver diverse and practical development ideas.
The Sustainable Global Leaders Conference is hosted by the World Green Design Organization (WGDO) and Sina Group, co-hosted by the Beijing Office of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation, and organized by Sina Finance and the Beijing Representative Office of the World Green Design Organization. It is China's most globally influential sustainable development event.
This year's conference focuses on frontier and hot topics, centering on AI and human development, climate change and regional responses, and Chinese enterprises going global, with multiple keynote speeches, high-end dialogues, thematic seminars and closed-door exchange meetings, bringing together top minds for collisions of ideas.
The conference's predecessor was the "ESG Global Leaders Conference." Since its founding in 2021, it has been successfully held for five consecutive editions and has continued to upgrade itself along the way.
In addition, as an important extension of the conference's efforts to promote industrial implementation and public engagement, the Second Green Industry and Sustainable Consumption Expo will be held at the same time in the Shanghai World Expo Park.
The expo focuses on green industry and sustainable consumption. Through a concentrated display of cutting-edge green technologies, innovative products and solutions, it brings the concept of sustainability into real industrial and consumer scenarios.
According to the conference organizing committee, Meng Meng, General Manager of the Macau International Carbon Emission Exchange, has confirmed that he will attend the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference and participate in the discussion "From Market Mechanisms to Technological Innovation: Jointly Exploring Pathways to Global Carbon Neutrality."
