Minsheng Bank's Huang Hongri on Real Estate Asset Quality: Near-Term Pressure Persists, Long-Term Outlook Stabilizes

Deep News03-31

On March 31, Minsheng Bank held its 2025 performance exchange meeting. Regarding the outlook for real estate asset quality, the bank's Vice President Huang Hongri stated, "We assess that while short-term pressures remain, the long-term trend is toward stabilization."

Huang Hongri indicated that, on one hand, ongoing policy support and gradual market recovery will provide strong backing for the stability of the bank's asset quality. On the other hand, the resolution of existing risks, operational adjustments by some enterprises, and divergences across regions and projects will continue to generate a certain proportion of non-performing assets.

In the next phase, Huang Hongri pointed out that Minsheng Bank will continue to implement its overall strategy of controlling total volume, revitalizing existing assets, and optimizing new increments. The bank will actively comply with regulatory requirements, accelerate the resolution of existing risks, develop new business in a measured and orderly manner, and maintain steady and healthy development of its real estate operations.
