At the Global Wealth Management Forum 2026 Shanghai Suhewan Conference held in Shanghai from October 16 to 17, 2026, Song Haitao, Dean of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, attended and delivered remarks.

Addressing the current state of AI development, Song Haitao pointed to three key shifts.

The first shift is reflected in "acceleration." In recent years, the new frontier directions that AI focuses on, model iterations, as well as the construction of embodied intelligence training grounds, training data, and high-quality corpus libraries, have all undergone comprehensive leaps forward. He stated: "In the past, we needed to prove ourselves through rankings. Now, from the market and customers, we have learned to use models to evaluate solutions and technical capabilities. This is one of the bigger changes that has emerged."

The second shift is reflected in "globality." Because of the possession of AI and large language models, a new round of knowledge equalization has emerged, bringing about revolutionary underlying changes.

The third shift is reflected in "intense global attention." From the United Nations framework to the G20, APEC, BRICS nations, and further to the Belt and Road Initiative, all have established AI communication mechanisms and expert groups, extending even to every private enterprise and university. This is a global revolution.
