AI X Tech (01490) Calls 27 Mar 2026 EGM to Approve Removal of Chinese Company Name

Bulletin Express03-09

AI X Tech Inc. (Stock Code: 01490) has issued a circular announcing plans to remove its dual foreign Chinese name “車市科技有限公司”.

The board is seeking shareholder approval via a special resolution at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on 27 Mar 2026 at Room 705, Building B, Xinhua Technology Building, Chaoyang District, Beijing.

Key conditions: 1. Passage of the special resolution at the EGM. 2. Approval from the Cayman Islands Registrar of Companies, after which a Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name will be issued.

Rationale: • Align the corporate identity with the group’s global AI-driven strategy and strengthen brand consistency. • Eliminate potential confusion among international investors caused by the current bilingual naming.

Impact on shareholders: • No change to shareholders’ rights or the company’s financial position. • Existing share certificates remain valid; no exchange is required. • Upon effectiveness, the Chinese stock short name will be removed and the company’s website will be updated.

Key administrative dates: • Register of members closes 24–27 Mar 2026; share transfers must be lodged by 4:30 p.m. on 23 Mar 2026 to qualify for EGM attendance and voting. • Proxy forms must be submitted to Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services by 10:00 a.m. on 25 Mar 2026.

The board unanimously recommends shareholders vote in favor of the proposal. Further announcements will follow on the EGM results and the effective date of the name change.
