JD.com's 618 Kickoff: Top 100 Brands See Average GMV Surge Over 500% in First Four Hours

JD.com's 618 Grand Promotion officially commenced at 8 PM on May 30th. By midnight, the average Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for the platform's top 100 brands had increased by more than fivefold compared to the same period last year.

Driven by the ongoing "Spring Dawn Plan," the number of new merchants participating in JD.com's 618 this year grew by over 62% year-on-year. In the first four hours of the opening sales period, 51 new merchants participating for the first time achieved GMV exceeding 10 million yuan, while 1,516 new merchants surpassed the one million yuan mark.

During the initial four-hour window, JD.com's Global Sales platform, targeting overseas users, saw its GMV double year-on-year. Categories such as photography equipment, beauty and perfume, sports gear, snacks and specialty foods, and mobile phone accessories experienced growth exceeding 300%.

This year's 618 marks the first time AI has been fully integrated across all scenarios and industries on JD.com. Nearly 100 products equipped with JD's JoyInside technology have been launched, spanning categories like AI toys, robots, home appliances, and health equipment. Sales of novel and unique hardware performed strongly, with the Unitree robot dog ranking among the top five in its category. Sales of the Xiaolong AI Magic Printer increased 17-fold compared to the previous period in the first four hours.

Leveraging the JoyAI large language model, JD.com's digital avatar, JoyStreamer, achieved breakthroughs in both scale and sales volume during the opening four hours. The number of merchants using the live-streaming service grew sixfold year-on-year, generating over 70 million yuan in GMV. JD.com's interactive marketing platform, JoyMarketing, recorded over 22 million user interactions. The AI design assistant, Jingdiandian OxygenVision, served more than one million merchants, helping improve their overall store operational efficiency by over ten times. The AI customer service assistant, "Jing Xiaozhi," served over a million merchants, with its large model service volume growing 14 times year-on-year.

In the first four hours, transaction volume using JD Baitiao, the platform's consumer credit service, rose by 212% year-on-year. National interest subsidy programs, combined with JD.com's own interest-free promotions, boosted brand sales. For instance, Unitree's robot sales grew by 271%, and Gree air conditioner sales increased by 158%.

JD Logistics' super-brain large language model has been deployed in over 1,000 core scenarios. The newly launched "AI Map Inventory Diagnostic Assistant" has improved inventory turnover efficiency by 30% to 40%. The company continues to enhance its integrated supply chain logistics services, achieving same-day delivery in most cities, counties, and districts across China, with minute-level express delivery available in nearly 100 major cities.
