HTSC forecasts H1 2026 net profit to jump 50–55 % to up to RMB 11.70 billion

Bulletin Express07-14

Huatai Securities Co., Ltd. (HTSC) expects a sharp earnings acceleration in the first half of 2026, according to its preliminary results announcement.

HTSC’s management projects net profit attributable to shareholders at RMB 11.32 billion–11.70 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026, an increase of RMB 3.78 billion–4.15 billion, or 50 %–55 %, from RMB 7.55 billion a year earlier.

Excluding non-recurring items, underlying profit is estimated at RMB 11.33 billion–11.71 billion, up 52 %–57 % from RMB 7.46 billion in the prior-year period.

Management attributes the strong performance to: 1. Sustained buoyancy in China’s capital markets, which kept trading volumes at elevated levels. 2. Continued execution of HTSC’s “dual-engine” strategy of wealth management and institutional services, reinforced by technology-driven initiatives. 3. Robust year-on-year revenue growth across the four core segments—wealth management, institutional services, investment management and international business—which lifted overall operating performance to a record first-half high.

For reference, HTSC reported total profit of RMB 8.53 billion and earnings per share of RMB 0.80 in the first half of 2025.

The disclosed figures are unaudited preliminary data; definitive results will appear in the company’s 2026 interim report. Management stated that it is unaware of any material uncertainties that could affect these estimates.
