The event was jointly hosted by the Qingdao Private Economic Development Bureau, the Qingdao Federation of Trade Unions, and the Qingdao Municipal Technician College, and organized by the Qingdao SME Public Service Center and the Qingdao Higher Education School-Locality Integration Service Center.

The event focused on industry-education integration and school-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation, aiming to build a bridge for talent supply and demand matching, help enterprises strengthen talent support, and promote the high-quality development of modern vocational education.

Leaders from the Municipal Technician College and the Municipal Private Economic Development Bureau attended the event and delivered speeches.

More than 40 participants attended the event, including relevant heads from the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal SME Public Service Center, and the Municipal Higher Education School-Locality Integration Center, as well as senior executives and HR managers from specialized and innovative SMEs with talent needs across the city, along with relevant department heads and faculty members from the Municipal Technician College.

Entrepreneur representatives visited the Intelligent Manufacturing College's industry-education integration base, the Chery Automobile Industry College Practice Center, the Rail Vehicle Training Center, and the Rail Transit Training Base.

Heads of these bases and centers provided on-site explanations of practical training teaching and industry-education integration development.

Through on-site inspection of training environments built for real production conditions, entrepreneurs gained a direct understanding of the college's distinctive approach to cultivating skilled talent and its achievements, and expressed greater recognition and confidence in students' practical operational capabilities.

The Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, focusing on the reform of the industrial workforce development, introduced relevant policies and empowerment measures in academic qualification improvement, skills training, and platform development.

It was made clear that subsidies for academic qualification improvement would be provided to eligible frontline workers and technical backbone staff of enterprises, achieving the goal of "no need to leave production or post, improve qualifications, and enhance capabilities."

A total of 10,824 workers have received subsidies, continuously optimizing the educational structure of private enterprise employees, helping enterprises achieve dual improvement in both academic qualifications and skills, and providing policy support for the career development of enterprise skilled talent.

The Municipal Technician College, in line with Qingdao's industrial development realities, presented school-enterprise cooperation models, digital-Intelligent employment platforms, and industry-education integration achievements.

As a national-level high-skilled talent training base and a distinctive technical education institution in Shandong Province, the college adheres to the educational philosophy of "building programs within industrial chains, with talent revolving around enterprises."

It closely aligns with Qingdao's industrial needs to establish programs in shortage areas, jointly builds order-based classes with leading enterprises, and delivers approximately 3,500 high-skilled talents to Qingdao annually, with about 85% of graduates remaining in Qingdao for employment.

Liu Chuanhua, Party Secretary of the Municipal Technician College, expressed the hope to explore deeper cooperation with specialized and innovative SMEs that have targeted talent cultivation needs in areas such as order-based class development, "enterprise new apprenticeship" on-the-job improvement, and joint development of shared training bases, so that more graduates can stay in Qingdao for employment and serve the city's industrial development.

Representatives from four enterprises—Qingdao Taide Bearing, Qingdao Optoelectronic Medical, Hangxiao Steel Structure (Shandong), and Shandong Yihuijia Intelligent Technology—introduced their respective company development situations and talent cooperation needs.

Relevant department heads from the Municipal Technician College's Intelligent Manufacturing College, Rail Transit College, Admissions and Employment Office, and Vocational Training and Evaluation Center presented demand-matching plans and engaged in exchanges and connections with attending enterprises around specific needs in mechanical CNC, electromechanical automation, welding, automotive technology, modern logistics, computer science, and marketing, jointly discussing pathways for talent cultivation cooperation.

Next, the Municipal Private Economic Development Bureau will follow the work requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Management Measures for Tiered Cultivation of Quality SMEs" regarding strengthening talent education and training.

Leveraging the skilled talent cultivation resource advantages of quality vocational institutions such as the Qingdao Municipal Technician College, the bureau will make talent matching a core empowerment focus, continue to plan and carry out various industry-education integration empowerment service activities, smooth the channels for school-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation, help specialized and innovative enterprises solve the shortage of skilled talent, and build solid talent support for the high-quality development of the city's private economy.
