On the news front, on April 21, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to outline industrial and information technology developments in the first quarter of 2026. Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Zhang Yunming stated that the ministry will guide the orderly construction of computing infrastructure according to demand, promote the coordinated layout of green power and computing resources, advance comprehensive automated monitoring of computing capacity, improve China’s computing platform, facilitate precise matching of computing supply and demand, and enhance the efficiency of computing resource utilization. At the same time, the ministry will deepen the implementation of the Computing Infrastructure Strengthening Initiative, promote the application and innovation empowerment of research outcomes, improve the computing standards system, and support forward-looking research into space-based computing technology, while orderly advancing the development of the space computing industry. Guojin Securities pointed out that as spacecraft payload and performance requirements continue to drive higher power demands, the need for power-to-weight ratios, storage capacity, structural weight, and deployment/retraction capabilities in space energy systems is accelerating the development and progress of flexible structural technologies. DRINDA’s energy base product technology primarily collaborates with Shanghai Xingyixinneng (Shangyi), which originates from the technical system of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, giving it exclusive technological advantages in formulations for extreme space environments and anti-radiation structural design.
