Liaoning province has officially announced the results of its "Follow Art to Travel" themed route collection, selecting 12 standout itineraries from 20 submissions received across the province. The provincial Department of Culture and Tourism curated these routes, which position major theaters and cultural venues as core hubs while seamlessly integrating scenic spots, historic districts, intangible heritage workshops, and local culinary delights.
These carefully designed routes offer a micro-vacation experience centered around theaters, allowing visitors to "catch a performance, explore a neighborhood, and savor a city's unique flavors." Among the 12 diverse and artistically vibrant options, Shenyang's Jinlang-Hunhe "Diamond Art Journey" places the Shengjing Grand Theater at its heart, linking cultural and natural attractions such as the Liaoning Provincial Museum and Wulihe Park to meet visitors' cultural aspirations.
Dalian's "Art Coastal Immersion" tour, built around the Dalian Grand Theater, covers iconic landmarks including the Donggang Boardwalk, Oriental Water City, and the World Music Culture Museum. This route artfully blends various forms of artistic performance with urban exploration, featuring a distinctive highlight of sea-based sightseeing in Dalian for a richly varied travel experience.
Jinzhou's coastal "Night Art Leisure" journey centers on the Jinzhou Night Theater, offering scenic daytime views for an immersive taste of coastal culture, while evenings showcase authentic local performances for a deep dive into regional folk traditions. The itinerary also includes stops for Jinzhou barbecue and nighttime market visits, seamlessly merging performing arts with the vibrant pulse of everyday city life.
