EAST BUY’s stock soared 8.64% in early trading on Monday, driven by a positive profit alert that confirmed a significant business turnaround for the company.
The surge followed news that the company’s FY2026 revenue is expected to reach 56 billion to 58 billion RMB, representing 27% to 32% year-over-year growth, while net profit is projected at 5.2 billion to 5.5 billion RMB—a dramatic improvement from just 6 million RMB in FY2025. Citi reiterated its "Buy" rating with a target price of 33 HKD, noting that the guidance midpoint of 57 billion RMB in revenue exceeds market expectations by around 9%, and net profit also surpasses consensus estimates.
The company attributed the profit surge primarily to the continued expansion of its private-label product portfolio and product mix optimization. Audited annual results are scheduled for release on August 21.
