Sichuan's Industrial Value-Added Output Rises 6.8% YoY in Jan-Nov

Data released by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics on December 16 shows that from January to November this year, the value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size in Sichuan Province increased by 6.8% year-on-year.

By sector, 33 out of 41 major industries recorded growth in value-added output. The automobile manufacturing sector saw an 18.2% increase, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing rose 13.7%, computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing grew 12.7%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing expanded 12.0%, and oil and gas extraction increased 11.1%.

In terms of major industrial product output, natural gas production in Sichuan rose 11.5% year-on-year, electricity generation edged up 0.7%, smart TV output surged 65.6%, lithium-ion battery production climbed 45.9%, industrial robot output expanded 42.1%, automobile production grew 33.9%, LCD panel output increased 22.2%, integrated circuit production rose 14.8%, and smartwatch output expanded 12.3%.

Regarding fixed-asset investment, primary industry investment grew 10.8% year-on-year, while secondary industry investment rose 7.7%, with industrial investment increasing 8.0%.

In the consumer market, Sichuan's total retail sales of consumer goods reached 2.63957 trillion yuan, up 5.5% year-on-year. Urban retail sales grew 5.4% to 2.13782 trillion yuan, while rural retail sales rose 6.0% to 501.75 billion yuan.

By consumption type, catering revenue increased 3.7% to 361.4 billion yuan, while retail sales of goods expanded 5.8% to 2.27817 trillion yuan. Within retail sales, online sales from above-quota enterprises surged 21.2% to 211.02 billion yuan.
