Since July 23, 30 Fatalities Have Been Identified Through Continued Search Efforts at the Chongqing Pengshui Landslide, With Additional Results Awaiting DNA Analysis

A major mountain landslide occurred on July 17 at approximately 9:00 AM in the Hanjia Street area of Pengshui, Chongqing.

On the evening of July 28, Pengshui County released an official update stating that since the rescue operations for the landslide disaster entered the deep search phase, professional rescue teams have been working continuously around the clock, conducting repeated checks, advancing layer by layer, and searching each area individually.

As of now, the search of zones A and B has been fully completed, while operations in zones C and D have entered the final critical stage.

Since July 23, as of 9:00 PM on July 28, a total of 30 additional fatalities have been confirmed through DNA testing and identification of the remains and body parts recovered from the site. The results for some other findings are still pending DNA analysis.
