Vision Place Office Tower Completes Construction, Adding a New Green Landmark to Beijing's CBD Core

Deep News17:51

Vision Place, the high-rise office tower also known as the CBD Z6 project, officially completed its construction on August 12, 2026. Located in the heart of Beijing's Central Business District, the building is now fully entering the phase of leasing and operational preparation.

Developed and operated by Sino-Ocean Group, Vision Place sits at the strategic "Golden Cross" intersection of the Guomao Bridge. It faces Chang'an Avenue to the south, overlooks the East Third Ring Road to the west, and is adjacent to the CBD Central Park on its eastern side. The building also offers direct underground connections to the Guomao station on Metro Lines 1 and 10. The project has a total floor area of approximately 180,000 square meters, a height of roughly 160 meters, and comprises 33 floors above ground and 5 below. It was designed by a collaboration between British firm Foster + Partners and the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design.

To maximize the advantages of its prime location, the building's core is positioned on the west side. This design allows the main structure to fully open up towards the eastern park, providing an unobstructed 180-degree view of the park and maximizing natural light intake.

In terms of product development, Vision Place consistently integrates the principles of "green, health, sharing, and innovation." The exterior facade abandons traditional pure glass curtain walls, innovatively using a combination of "stone, metal, and glass." This design reduces light pollution while delivering a classic, durable aesthetic. Every three to five floors, a "vertical oasis" of about 20 meters in height is built in. The entire building features six shared atriums, all connected to outdoor terraces, making it the building with the most shared atriums in the CBD core area. The office spaces offer a 18-meter super-span column-free layout and a 3-meter floor-to-ceiling height. The ground-floor lobby, with its 10-meter-high ceiling and thousands of custom-made glass bricks, creates an elegant image resembling a "hall of light." The project has received industry awards including the "China Commercial Real Estate Golden Building Award" and the "2026 Commercial Real Estate Brand Value Demonstration Case."

As China's first high-rise office building to receive the "Net Zero Carbon Excellence Certification," Vision Place has established a national benchmark in the field of green and low-carbon development. It has also achieved the pre-assessment for the Green Building Three-Star rating, the pre-certification for LEED Platinum, and the mid-term certification for WELL. On a technical level, the project has integrated a series of measures such as rooftop photovoltaics, high-efficiency mechanical rooms, intelligent atrium lighting control, gravity energy recovery elevators, and low-carbon building material procurement. In the future, it will also promote green electricity trading, thereby constructing a carbon-neutral management system covering the entire lifecycle from design and construction to operation.

Currently, Beijing's Chaoyang District is accelerating the development of an internationally influential ESG demonstration zone, and the Beijing CBD has proposed the vision of building the nation's first "zero-carbon business district." Vision Place is a key practice under this goal. In the future, the project will leverage its unique location advantages, top-tier green certifications, and strong product features to attract leading global enterprises in the financial, technology, and professional services sectors. It aims to create a "green international meeting room" in the CBD core area that combines high quality with ecological value, thereby continuously releasing the long-term value of this scarce asset and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
