On September 16, the new Liuyang convenient express bus service, branded as "DiDi Station Bus," officially went live and began advance ticket sales. The service will commence full operations starting September 20, running daily from Monday to Sunday between Liuyang and Changsha. Passengers who purchase tickets one day in advance can enjoy a promotional fare of just 9.9 yuan per one-way trip, while same-day purchases are priced from 14.9 yuan.
With this new offering, passengers no longer need to visit traditional bus stations in Liuyang or Changsha to buy tickets or wait for departures. Instead, they can conveniently book their seats through the DiDi Chuxing mobile app or its WeChat mini-program, check real-time schedules, and even track the live location of their bus. This effectively allows travelers to "ride a bus as easily as hailing a DiDi," bringing ride-hailing style convenience to intercity coach travel.
Boarding points for the DiDi Station Bus are strategically located across high-foot-traffic areas, including popular residential communities, shopping districts, hospitals, and other frequently visited locations in both Liuyang and Changsha. Passengers can easily find their designated pickup spots by opening the "DiDi Chuxing" mini-program, selecting "Station Bus," and choosing their preferred boarding and alighting points. Each stop is accompanied by photos; tapping on a photo displays the exact address and provides direct navigation to the location.
Two round-trip routes have been launched: Liuyang to Changsha (Changzhutan Bus Station) and Liuyang to Changsha (High-Speed Rail South Station). A total of 40 buses have been deployed to operate 64 daily trips across both routes, with seating capacities of 38, 19, and 14 passengers. Services begin at 6:40 AM and end at 7:00 PM. During peak demand periods, buses run every 30 minutes, while off-peak intervals are scheduled at 40 minutes. DiDi Global Inc. operates this service.
