A financial regulatory update from August 18 reveals that the People's Bank of China Fuyang City Branch has issued an administrative penalty decision against Anhui Linquan Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd.
The bank was found to have violated financial statistics regulations, failed to properly collect counterfeit currency as required, and neglected to conduct customer due diligence in accordance with established rules.
As a result of these infractions, the institution has received an official warning and been ordered to pay a fine of 426,100 yuan.
This enforcement action underscores the central bank's ongoing scrutiny of compliance practices within regional financial institutions, particularly regarding data reporting, anti-counterfeiting measures, and anti-money laundering protocols.
