Since the start of 2025, the three major telecommunications operators have seen a decline in their revenue growth rates, with many provincial branches struggling with negative revenue growth. Against this challenging industry backdrop, the revenue growth of China Unicom's Henan branch in 2025 stands out as particularly impressive, which is a remarkable accomplishment.
As a significant and long-established major provincial company for China Unicom in the northern region, Henan Unicom has consistently maintained a very large revenue scale, firmly ranking as the group's fourth-largest provincial company. This substantial size inherently makes achieving revenue growth more difficult.
However, Henan Unicom achieved a year-on-year revenue growth of 2% in 2025, a figure that should not be underestimated. Firstly, this 2% growth rate significantly exceeds the group's average growth level. Secondly, for a company of Henan Unicom's scale, a 2% increase represents substantial growth in absolute terms; compared to 2024, the company's revenue grew by over 500 million yuan in 2025, which is a considerable sum.
The current General Manager of Henan Unicom is Hua Yumin, who assumed his position at the beginning of 2025, meaning this performance largely occurred under his leadership. Industry analysis indicates that for a large provincial company like Henan Unicom to maintain such a rapid growth pace is genuinely challenging and far more difficult than achieving double-digit growth for many smaller provincial branches.
