Blackstone Inc. and KKR & Co. are reportedly in discussions with Alphabet Inc. to provide their portfolio companies with access to Google's artificial intelligence models, according to informed sources.

The move comes as OpenAI and Anthropic PBC have separately formed alliances with alternative asset managers to establish AI consulting firms, aiming to turn private equity-backed enterprises into new revenue streams for AI companies.

In addition to Blackstone and KKR, Alphabet is also negotiating with private equity firm EQT AB, the sources revealed. The individuals requested anonymity due to the confidential nature of the discussions. They emphasized that these talks are not exclusive and there is no guarantee that agreements will be finalized.

Representatives for Blackstone, EQT, KKR, and Google all declined to comment.
