On the afternoon of December 11, 2025, the China Economic Media Association convened its second council meeting of the eighth session at the Beijing Gehua Kaiyuan Hotel.

The meeting acknowledged that over the past year, under the unified leadership of the Central Social Affairs Department and the industry management of the All-China Journalists Association, the China Economic Media Association has diligently implemented the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the recommendations of the 15th Five-Year Plan. By integrating Party building with business development, the Association has consolidated economic media resources to foster a new pattern of mainstream economic communication. Key achievements include: - Strengthening political awareness and advancing Party-building efforts - Enhancing service orientation to focus on core responsibilities - Improving regulatory compliance to maintain a healthy development ecosystem
In the 2025 national social organization evaluation, the Association was recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as a 4A-level national social organization, reflecting its elevated service capabilities and brand influence.
The meeting emphasized that 2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan, making economic work critically important. Amid a complex and evolving development landscape, the Association must prioritize economic development, high-quality growth, and reform-driven innovation. Aligning with central economic policy directives, the Association will: - Strengthen Party leadership to guide public expectations - Deepen institutional reforms for accelerated transformation - Expand service areas and enhance professional expertise - Improve governance and internal management
Through specialized services, the Association aims to drive systemic transformation in mainstream media, support member media in transitioning to smart media, and bolster economic communication and public guidance to provide robust support for a successful start to the 15th Five-Year Plan.
