Lens Technology Co., Ltd. (Lens Technology) has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, providing a detailed account of its climate strategy, governance upgrades and supply-chain oversight on the 10th anniversary of its ChiNext listing and the first full year after its Hong Kong debut.
Governance and Disclosure • The board-level Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee now oversees ESG, supported by an executive ESG Promotion Leading Group. • Lens achieved an “A” rating in Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure for 2025 and completed 17 internal penetration tests with zero data-security incidents. • R&D spending reached RMB 2.87 billion, or 3.86% of revenue, while valid patents totalled 2,229.
Climate Roadmap and Energy Mix • Based on a 2024 baseline, Lens aims to lower carbon-emission intensity (Scopes 1-3) by 20% within five years. • Clean energy accounted for about 50% of 2025 electricity use; the company targets a 60% share by 2030. • Rooftop photovoltaic capacity in operation totals 96.50 MW, generating 102 million kWh in 2025; an additional 52.60 MW is under construction or planned. • Heat-pump retrofits, biomass-steam pilots and chiller-plant upgrades delivered annual savings of 158 million kWh and cut CO₂ emissions by roughly 83,800 t.
Environmental Performance • 2025 Scopes 1 and 2 emissions were 2.57 million tCO₂e, down from 2.64 million tCO₂e in 2024. • Industrial solid-waste utilisation exceeded 90% at four parks; three sites obtained zero-landfill certification. • The group operates 19 wastewater stations and 986 exhaust-air treatment units, with total environmental capex and O&M spending of RMB 2.46 billion.
Occupational Health and Safety • Work-related injuries dropped 16.35% year-on-year, and injury rate per 1,000 employees fell 20.03%. • Safety drills reached 6,060 sessions covering 702,441 participants; 41 safety-culture workshops were held.
Supply-Chain Oversight • All 1,761 active suppliers have signed Lens’ environmental and social responsibility agreements; 1,339 underwent on-site ESG audits in 2025. • Conflict-minerals due-diligence achieved 100% coverage, vetting 230 smelters, all RMI-certified.
Social Metrics • Workforce stood at 145,683 with female representation of 39.56% and ethnic-minority employees at 7.49%. • Lens invested RMB 40.57 million in training, delivering an average of 36.14 hours per employee. • Charitable donations totalled RMB 7.02 million, including HKD 13.10 million for Hong Kong fire relief and 200 smart prosthetic devices for disabled users.
Future Targets • Reduce work-injury cases a further 10% in 2026. • Maintain 100% supplier due-diligence coverage and on-time payments. • Finish ISO 14064 verification of Scope 3 emissions by 2027 and expand zero-landfill certification to at least five industrial parks by 2028.
Lens Technology emphasises that robust governance, green manufacturing and inclusive talent policies will underpin its long-term competitiveness across consumer electronics, new-energy vehicles and emerging smart-terminal segments.
