Cocoon Holdings (00428) published its Environmental, Social and Governance Report for the year ended 31 December 2025, detailing measurable progress in environmental performance and outlining new medium- to long-term sustainability targets.
Highlights • Revenue and proceeds from disposal of securities reached HK$354.00 million in FY2025, up from HK$49.00 million in FY2024.
Environmental Performance • Total Scope 1 emissions remained nil; Scope 2 emissions fell 38.25% to 1.55 tCO₂e (FY2024: 2.51 tCO₂e). • Greenhouse-gas emission intensity plunged to 0.004 tCO₂e per million revenue, versus 0.05 tCO₂e a year earlier, reflecting a 92% improvement. • Electricity consumption declined 7.93% to 2,590 kWh, with energy intensity down 87% to 7.32 kWh per million revenue. • Office paper waste fell 68.8% to 42.43 kg; waste-related Scope 3 emissions dropped to below 0.01 tCO₂e. • New targets, using 2025 as the baseline, call for reductions of at least 2% in energy, non-hazardous waste and Scope 1-2 GHG intensity over the medium term, with further cuts beyond 2% in the long term.
Climate Governance & Risk • The Board retains ultimate responsibility for ESG oversight and has set up an ESG Working Group comprising all management members. • Climate-related risks—physical (extreme weather) and transition (regulation, market, reputation)—are fully integrated into the enterprise risk-management framework. • A long-term transition plan aligns with Hong Kong’s carbon-neutral pathway, focusing on energy efficiency, low-carbon technologies and supply-chain collaboration.
Social & Governance Metrics • Workforce remained stable at five employees, with zero turnover and no work-related injuries or fatalities for the third consecutive year. • All employees received training; average training hours stood at 12 per person. • The company reported no breaches of employment, health-and-safety, environmental, or anti-corruption laws. • Anti-corruption policies are in force, and all directors and senior staff completed related training.
Supply Chain & Community • Procurement is primarily local office supplies, with ESG criteria integrated into supplier selection. • The company supports community initiatives through volunteerism and charitable donations, emphasising responsible corporate citizenship.
