Deep News01-21

According to the Shanghai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, an investigation was conducted into the serious violations of discipline and law by Huang Zhenglin, the former General Manager of Shanghai International Airport Co., Ltd. The investigation found that Huang Zhenglin disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulations by accepting gifts and cash that could influence the fair execution of his official duties. He also accepted banquet invitations and travel arrangements that could compromise his impartiality and improperly accessed private clubs. Furthermore, he breached integrity bottom lines and improperly intervened in and manipulated market economic activities. He exploited his position to secure benefits for others and illegally accepted money and property from them. Additionally, he used his official capacity to purchase goods from units operated and managed by his friends and relatives at prices significantly higher than market rates, causing substantial losses to state interests. Huang Zhenglin seriously violated the Party's political discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituting severe duty-related violations and suspected crimes of accepting bribes and illegally profiting for relatives and friends. His misconduct was particularly egregious as he showed no restraint even after the 18th and up to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, making the nature of his actions serious and the impact恶劣, warranting severe punishment. Following a review by the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, it was decided to expel Huang Zhenglin from the Communist Party of China. He was also dismissed from his public position by the Shanghai Municipal Supervisory Commission. His illicit gains obtained through disciplinary violations will be confiscated. The suspected criminal issues have been transferred to the procuratorial organs for legal review and prosecution, with the involved assets also transferred accordingly.
