At the 2026 Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development High-Level Forum held on April 11, NIO Inc. founder, chairman, and CEO Li斌 engaged in a dialogue with media representatives including Sina Technology.

Addressing recent online rumors suggesting he "changed flights to save 30,000 yuan," Li斌 clarified for the first time: "To correct the record, it wasn't about saving on flight tickets—airfare isn't that expensive. It was actually about saving 30,000 yuan in venue rental costs."

When questioned about NIO's increasingly meticulous cost management, Li斌 noted that many global companies exemplify this approach, citing Singapore Airlines as an example. He emphasized that providing excellent customer service and maintaining detailed internal cost controls are not mutually exclusive practices.
