Nebius (NBIS.US) Launches Next-Gen AI Cloud Platform with NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra Chips, Competing with CoreWeave

Dutch AI infrastructure provider Nebius (NBIS.US) has unveiled Nebius AI Cloud 3.1, integrating NVIDIA's (NVDA.US) Blackwell Ultra computing technology and enhanced operational capabilities into its latest full-stack AI cloud platform. The company highlighted that NVIDIA's HGX B300 and GB300 NVL72 systems, equipped with 800 Gbps NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand, deliver next-generation performance for large-scale AI training and inference.

Nebius is deploying NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra infrastructure globally, with GB300 NVL72 and HGX B300 systems now available to customers. The company claims to be the first European cloud service provider running both platforms in production environments. Additionally, Nebius is the first globally to adopt 800 Gbps NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand interconnect technology for GB300 NVL72 systems, tripling throughput for distributed workloads.

To address enterprise demand for operational transparency, version 3.1 introduces Capacity Blocks and a real-time Capacity Dashboard, enabling clients to monitor reserved GPU capacity and availability across data center regions. The update builds on Nebius' "Aether" AI cloud, adding transparent capacity management and expanded infrastructure to improve operational visibility and resource planning for scaling AI applications in production.

Aether 3.1 also offers enhanced AI/ML development tools, broader ecosystem integration, and granular enterprise-grade governance controls to accelerate value realization while mitigating risks.

Nebius competes with CoreWeave (CRWV.US), which also provides NVIDIA Blackwell chips for AI infrastructure. In July, CoreWeave announced it was the first cloud platform to fully launch NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell server instances. Beyond the RTX PRO 6000, CoreWeave offers one of the market's most extensive NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure portfolios, including GB200 NVL72 systems and HGX B200 platforms.
