Anthropic has entered into a 20-year lease agreement, announced on Monday, to utilize a data center facility owned by TeraWulf in Kentucky.
The data center is situated approximately one hour's drive southwest of Louisville and boasts a capacity of around 400 megawatts. The initial power supply for the facility is anticipated to become available in the second half of 2027.
This long-term lease is preliminarily projected to generate approximately $19 billion in revenue.
TeraWulf, originally a cryptocurrency mining firm, has now pivoted its focus to artificial intelligence data center infrastructure. The company's stock has surged more than 80% so far this year.
