Precious Metals Stocks Extend Early Gains with Hecla Mining Up Nearly 5%

Precious metals stocks continued their upward trend in early trading on Thursday. Hecla Mining (HL.US) rose nearly 5%, while Pan American Silver (PAAS.US) and Harmony Gold (HMY.US) gained over 4%. Kinross Gold (KGC.US) increased more than 3%, and Newmont Mining (NEM.US) along with Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM.US) advanced over 2%. On the news front, spot gold climbed more than 1%, reclaiming the $4,700 level. Spot silver surged nearly 5%, once again surpassing $81. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated on social media on the 7th that he held a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Dar, emphasizing the continuation of dialogue to prevent escalation of tensions in the Middle East region.
