LABUBU Creator Escorts Paddington Bear Director Through Paris Exhibition

Deep News03-04 13:40

Recent photos circulating online show Paul King, director of the Paddington Bear film series, attending the THE MONSTERS 10th Anniversary Global Tour exhibition in Paris. In the images, King is pictured alongside artist Kasing Lung, the creator of LABUBU, with the two sharing a friendly interaction.

In late 2025, reports emerged that Sony Pictures had acquired the film adaptation rights for LABUBU, a popular IP owned by POP MART, with plans to invite Paul King—who directed the Paddington Bear series and the box office hit Wonka—to helm the project and bring the beloved character to the big screen. The joint appearance of King and Lung at the exhibition appears to lend credibility to these earlier reports.

When contacted for comment, a representative from POP MART declined to provide any statement.
