Chongqing Releases "Implementation Measures for the 2027 Higher Vocational Education Classification Exam Enrollment"
Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission published the "Implementation Measures for the 2027 Higher Vocational Education Classification Exam Enrollment," clarifying that the classification exam enrollment is divided into three categories: the "General Category" for regular high school graduates (including specialized-to-undergraduate continuous training project enrollment and higher vocational college enrollment), the "Secondary Vocational Category" for secondary vocational school graduates (including higher vocational education counterpart enrollment and secondary-to-higher vocational education continuous training project transition enrollment), and the "Higher Vocational Special Category" for retired military personnel. Candidates (hereinafter referred to as examinees) may only choose one of these categories for application. Among them, the General Category consists of cultural literacy tests and technical subject tests, with a total score of 750 points. Both the Secondary Vocational Category and the Higher Vocational Special Category consist of cultural literacy tests and vocational skills tests, with a total score of 750 points. The higher vocational classification exam enrollment is an important component of the city's general higher education admissions (including both the classification exam enrollment and the unified college entrance exam enrollment, hereinafter the same), and it is classified as a national education examination. Examinees admitted through the classification exam enrollment enjoy the same treatment in terms of student status management and employment as those admitted through the unified college entrance exam enrollment.
Chongqing Deepens Rectification of the Online Environment in the Real Estate Sector
Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission, the Chongqing Municipal Cyberspace Affairs Office, the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Chongqing Municipal Market Supervision Administration, the Chongqing Municipal Urban Management Bureau, and other departments have continuously and deeply carried out special rectification of the online environment in the real estate sector. The focus is on strictly investigating six types of real estate-related information, including false information and malicious pessimism. Some false information published by real estate self-media accounts has been taken down in accordance with laws and regulations, and a number of self-media account operators have been put on file for investigation. The six main areas of rectification include: cracking down on the use of false low-price listings to drive traffic; addressing acts that distort the interpretation of real estate policies, strictly prohibiting the tampering or fabrication of policy texts, and resolutely handling false information; investigating and punishing the fabrication and dissemination of rumors about the real estate market; addressing information that maliciously talks down the real estate market; investigating the production of enterprise-related infringing information for illegal profit; and regulating the release of market data and research reports, strictly prohibiting the fabrication and dissemination of false data and false information.
New National Day Attraction in Chongqing: "One-Stop" Experience of 17 Bayu Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects
Recently, the "Shancheng Shouyi Fang" intangible cultural heritage specialty block officially opened on Ciqikou Back Street in Chongqing. In this new cultural space covering a total area of over 1,000 square meters, more than ten local Chongqing shops bring together a total of 17 national-level and provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items and time-honored Chongqing brands, allowing visitors to experience the roots of Bayu culture "one-stop" while strolling through the ancient town. The successful establishment of Shancheng Shouyi Fang relies on the intangible cultural heritage foundation accumulated by Ciqikou Ancient Town over many years. The ancient town currently has more than 40 intangible cultural heritage projects at various levels. In 2022, it was selected for the "National Intangible Cultural Heritage and Tourism Integrated Development Preferred Project," and in 2025, it successfully applied for the "Ciqikou Ancient Town Intangible Cultural Heritage Research and Study Base." In recent years, the ancient town has actively explored the "Intangible Cultural Heritage +" integrated development model, combining cultural creativity, festivals, performances, and research and study forms to promote the creative transformation of intangible cultural heritage, driving employment for more than 3,000 people and generating industry revenue exceeding 100 million yuan.

50 National Food Safety Standards Released
On September 22, the National Health Commission, together with the State Administration for Market Regulation, released 50 national food safety standards and amendment sheets. The newly released standards are oriented toward preventing risks, protecting health, and promoting development, refining the whole-chain control requirements for food safety. They serve as an important safeguard for consumers' health rights, a "hard benchmark" for supervision and law enforcement, and a key basis for enterprises' compliant production. Among them, three newly released pollutant control standard-type food safety standards for acrylamide, lead, and tin are basic mandatory standards for food production process management. The newly formulated "Food Acrylamide Pollution Control Standard" takes whole-chain risk prevention and control as its orientation, systematically stipulating the basic requirements and management measures for controlling acrylamide generation in all aspects of food processing. For example, the standard emphasizes reducing the content of reducing sugars and asparagine in raw and auxiliary materials to reduce the material basis for acrylamide generation from the source; strictly controlling the baking/frying temperature and time parameters in the processing of potato products, grain products, and roasted coffee, putting an end to over-baking or over-frying, and reducing acrylamide content from the processing stage.
China's Electrification Rate Will Leap to First Place Among Major Global Economies by 2030
On September 22, the China Electricity Council released its annual electrification development report, showing that China's electrification rate currently exceeds 29 percent, and by 2030 it will leap to first place among the world's major economies. The latest data shows that in 2025, China's electrification rate was approximately 29.5 percent, an increase of 1.4 percentage points from the previous year, ranking among the top globally. China has become the main driving force of the global electrification process, contributing more than 80 percent to the growth of the world's electrification rate since 2015. It is estimated that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the electrification rate in China's industrial sector, agriculture, and rural residents' living will maintain steady growth, while the electrification rate in the construction and transportation sectors will accelerate, driving the national electrification rate to reach 35 percent by 2030 and leap to first place among major global economies.
WorldSkills Competition Opens with 1,385 Skilled Competitors from Around the World
On September 22, the 48th WorldSkills Competition officially kicked off in Shanghai. This edition features 1,385 contestants from 68 countries and regions, with both the number of participating countries and regions and the number of contestants reaching an all-time high. The Chinese delegation sent 71 contestants to participate in all 64 events. The WorldSkills Competition is known as the "Olympics of World Skills" and is the highest-level, largest-scale, and most influential international vocational skills competition in the world. It is held every two years and has been held 47 times so far. It currently covers 90 countries and regions around the world and two-thirds of the global population.
