Stock News07:50

Frontera Therapeutics' application for a Hong Kong initial public offering, submitted on December 23, 2025, has now lapsed as of December 23, 2026, having reached the six-month validity period.

At the time of the initial filing, UBS Securities HongKong Limited and Haitong International Capital Limited were acting as joint sponsors for the offering.

According to the prospectus, since its establishment in 2019, Frontera Therapeutics has focused on independently developing innovative recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) gene therapies.

The company has developed a differentiated pipeline with leading clinical progress and potential to be best-in-class globally, particularly for ophthalmology and cardiovascular diseases.

Frontera Therapeutics has built an agile and well-coordinated research and development team.

As of September 30, 2025, the internal R&D team consisted of 37 members operating efficiently across China and the United States.

Early innovation and preclinical studies can transition seamlessly into clinical trials with minimal delays.

Through collaborations with leading hospitals and research institutions, the company has achieved efficient site activation and protocol deployment.

This infrastructure supports faster participant enrollment and greater clinical data generation, which is crucial for accelerating development timelines.

The company required just 11 months to advance a candidate drug from lead identification to Investigational New Drug (IND) approval.

To date, Frontera Therapeutics has secured 12 IND approvals from the National Medical Products Administration and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

According to data from Frost & Sullivan, this makes the company the rAAV gene therapy developer with the highest number of IND approvals in China.

Since its founding, the company has successfully advanced three candidate drugs into Phase II clinical trials.
