Puli Yan Issues Announcement "Blacklisting" So Young Affiliated Clinics, So Young Responds: Spreading False Information, Legal Notice Sent

Deep News11-24

On the evening of November 24, Puli Yan released an official statement to consumers, disclosing a list of non-official partner medical institutions. Over 40 So Young-owned and affiliated clinics were included in a "permanent blacklist" for collaboration.

Puli Yan stated in the declaration that the listed medical institutions had not procured its products through official channels, and thus the company would not guarantee the authenticity of Puli Yan products used by these institutions.

The statement further emphasized that, according to product instructions approved by China’s National Medical Products Administration, Puli Yan products should only be administered by qualified medical professionals in officially approved institutions who have undergone specialized training and obtained certification from the manufacturer or its authorized agencies. Puli Yan claimed it had not provided professional injection training for the listed institutions' medical staff, who might lack proper knowledge of product usage, injection techniques, and precautions, potentially compromising consumer safety.

In response to the allegations, So Young Youth Clinic issued a statement titled "Clarification Regarding Puli Yan's Remarks." So Young asserted that Puli Yan (Nanjing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. had published misleading and false information on its official WeChat account, questioning the procurement channels, authenticity, and professional qualifications of So Young clinics using Puli Yan products, which had drawn undue consumer concern.

So Young maintained that every Puli Yan product used in its clinics was legally supplied by authorized medical equipment distributors with complete documentation, traceable via the National Medical Products Administration’s UDI (Unique Device Identification) system. All So Young clinics nationwide are legally approved medical institutions, with doctors practicing in compliance with the "Physician Law" and operating under the ISO 37301 compliance management system, prioritizing medical safety and consumer rights.

The company stated that while it respects reasonable commercial arrangements with upstream partners, it firmly opposes any actions that damage medical institutions' reputations, create consumer panic, or disrupt fair market competition under the guise of "safety." Such behavior undermines consumer trust and industry professionalism. Professional support, including training and certification, should be a fundamental obligation of manufacturers to ensure product safety, not leveraged as a tool to enforce "official certification" or "designated channels" or manipulate pricing and institutional autonomy.

So Young declared that Puli Yan’s statement had adversely affected its business reputation and consumers' rights to informed choice. To protect consumer interests and its legal rights, So Young has engaged Beijing Qinglü (Shanghai) Law Firm to issue a legal notice demanding the removal of false content, cessation of infringement, and mitigation of damages, reserving the right to pursue further legal action.
