Fuel Price Revision Approaching: Expected Pump Increases for Late This Week

Deep News17:10

This Friday, September 11th, at midnight marks the 18th fuel price adjustment window for the year. Escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, combined with heightened shipping risks in the Strait of Hormuz, have rapidly pushed up the risk premium in the crude oil market this week.

Domestic and international crude oil benchmarks have both seen significant gains in tandem. At the fifth working day of the current pricing cycle, forecasts indicate that gasoline and diesel prices are projected to rise by 160 yuan per ton and 155 yuan per ton, respectively.

Translating these wholesale adjustments to the retail pump level, motorists can expect an increase of roughly 0.13 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.14 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.13 yuan per liter for 0-diesel fuel. Following this adjustment, filling a standard 50-liter vehicle tank will cost an additional 6.5 to 7 yuan.

The final adjustment figures for this cycle are contingent upon official announcements from the National Development and Reform Commission. It is important to note that the increases mentioned here represent only institutional estimates and forecasts, with the definitive margin of change to be based on official releases.
