Softbank significantly reduces Taiwan Semiconductor stake by over 70%, regulatory filing indicates

A filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday reveals that Softbank Group Corp has reduced its holdings in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing by 72%.

The quarterly filing shows that as of the end of June, Softbank held 565,000 American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, valued at $270 million.

This represents a sharp decline from the previous quarter, when the company reported holding 1.985 million ADRs, with a market value of $671 million.
