Xingtai City has achieved a significant milestone in agricultural recognition, with nine of its local products being included in the latest national specialty and distinctive agricultural product catalogs.
According to a recent announcement, six of these products have been added to the National List of Famous, Special, and New Agricultural Products, while three have been included in the National List of Distinctive Agricultural Products.
The newly recognized famous, special, and new products are Longyao Fragrant Pear, Longyao Guohong Apple, Longyao Chicken Leg Scallion, Julu Millet, Xinhe Embroidered Fungus, and Xingtai Economic Development Zone Eggs.
The newly listed distinctive products include Xingquan Sour Jujube Bud Tea Beverage, Jishengfu Fresh Eggs, and Zhiyu Lingzhi Spore Powder.
This latest recognition brings the city's total number of products on the National List of Famous, Special, and New Agricultural Products to 26, ranking it fourth in the province.
Similarly, the city now has 26 products on the National List of Distinctive Agricultural Products, securing the third position provincially.
Foundation for Success
This achievement is rooted in the city's rigorous approach to ensuring agricultural product quality.
A comprehensive service system has been established, featuring a multi-tiered mechanism with city-level coordination, county-level supervision, and enterprise self-inspection.
All 17 agriculture-related counties in the city have set up dedicated agencies for product quality, safety, and premiumization.
The city's Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Inspection Station has been recognized as a "Technical Institution for Whole-Process Control Specifications of Agricultural Product Quality and Safety" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Ongoing Management and Promotion
Supervision and management are strictly enforced, with annual confirmations, renewals, and post-certification oversight conducted according to established norms.
Efforts are made to ensure certified entities adhere to the compliance certificate system.
Simultaneously, brand promotion has been strengthened, resulting in 16 tentative cooperative projects worth nearly 10 million yuan secured at exhibitions in cities like Xiamen and Yinchuan, with seven products winning various awards.
In recent years, the city has cultivated three national-level characteristic agricultural product advantage zones: Neiqiu Fugang Apple, Julu Honeysuckle, and Xingtai Sour Jujube.
It is also home to 10 national-level key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization and 11 national-level strong agricultural industry towns.
The output value of the food processing industry has surpassed 75 billion yuan, indicating the continuous growth and strengthening of its distinctive agricultural sector.
