BYD Issues Statement on Inclusion in U.S. Defense Department's Chinese Military Companies List

Byd Company Limited (BYD) has issued a public announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The company stated that it has noted the U.S. Department of Defense has included the company in its list of Chinese military companies.

Byd Company Limited clarified that it is neither a Chinese military company nor a civil-military integration entity within China's defense industry.

The company believes there is no justifiable basis for its inclusion on this list.

It emphasized that the Chinese military companies list is not a sanctions list.

Being placed on this list will not impact the company's normal business operations or its dealings with any parties, except for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The U.S. government procurement restrictions associated with the list will not affect BYD's business, and the list does not impose restrictions on trading the company's securities.
