Abu Dhabi's largest natural gas processing facility has suspended operations following a fire, marking the second shutdown since the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office announced on X that the Habshan gas facility halted operations after debris from an intercepted attack fell into the complex. The facility, a major natural gas gathering and processing plant in the UAE, is operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.

Habshan also houses oil facilities and serves as the starting point for a crude oil pipeline operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company to Fujairah, a key port located outside the Strait of Hormuz.

Several hours earlier, an attack targeted Kuwait's Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, causing a fire in operational equipment. Authorities also reported that a power and desalination plant was attacked early Friday morning, resulting in damage to some equipment.
