InterDigital (IDCC) shares surged 17.93% in pre-market trading, reacting to a blockbuster second-quarter earnings report that significantly exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The company reported Q2 revenue of $260.2 million, more than 81% above the consensus estimate of $143.1 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $4.62, a staggering 407% above the $0.91 analyst estimate. The quarter also featured adjusted EBITDA of $184.1 million, a 71% adjusted EBITDA margin, and net income of $116.4 million.
The strong results were driven by a new agreement with Amazon covering services and devices, including Prime Video. Additionally, InterDigital raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to a range of $775 million to $845 million, an $85 million increase from its prior guidance and well above the FactSet estimate of $706.2 million. The company also provided an upbeat full-year adjusted EPS forecast of $10.85 to $12.81, compared to the analyst consensus of $9.62.
